You're pretty much assured of an NR Tag since the cap was raised a couple seasons ago. The cap is 20,000 and last year they still had thousands of left. If you applied before the deadline, the tag is as good as good as yours.

Last year they only had 1500 left at the dead line to put in and sold them first come first serve. There are some guys talking on another site that it looks like they sold out this year so it might have to actully go to a draw and not everyone getting one. Now personaly I don't Illinois giving up easy revenue seeing that is what they are all about but you never know!!!! Walt

I really don't know either??? [&:]

Despite that fact that many resident hunters bicker and gripe about NR hunters, the State counts on that NRcash flowto much.... especially consideringour under funded and under staffed DNR. Also, considering the fact that in this State it's pretty much the IL Farm Bureau that controls the herd and the way it's hunted and NOT the IDNR,.... I would expect that cap to be lifted in the fututre IF they can sell 'em out before the drawing... of course, the price will continue to raise as well. I'm just curious to see just how much some folks will pay for an IL Archery tag before they say enough is enough ?!? [:-]
