I like one.

RE: How many pins do you prefer??
three pins, 20 30 40, works great for me, provides a lot of security and makes the in-between shots much easier.

RE: How many pins do you prefer??
2 pins here. 25-35. It was a three pin site, but I removed the third pin since I wasn't using it.

RE: How many pins do you prefer??
the last couple years I have been using a 1 pin adjustable slider site. They are tops to me. So simple to use.

RE: How many pins do you prefer??
One pin adjustable. I have marks for 10, 20, 30, 40, and 50 for when I shoot 3D, but I keep it at 25 thru the hunting season.

RE: How many pins do you prefer??
ORIGINAL: mobowhuntr One. Pin gap is just too close together anymore. Multiple pins just confuse me, and for hunting I set my pin for 25 yards......1" high at 20, 1" low at 30. Doesn't get much better than that. |
RE: How many pins do you prefer??
I just added a 5th pin to my Viper. I'm no sharpshooter....but I've read that 75% of your practice time should be spent shooting 2 times the distance you think you'll be shooting in the field.
So....I figure my max effective range (in a great situation) is 30 yds on a live animal. That means I need to practce from 60yds (It's 62 yds from the corner of my patio to the corner of my lot....where I have stakes for my 3D buck. I just like hunting with the same sight I use for practice/3D. |
RE: How many pins do you prefer??
I change it every year. I do not like more than 4 pins, gets confusing beyond that. Last year I had standard 20, 30, 40, 50. Depending on how fast the bow I am shooting this year is, I will probably do the same. Maybe I will only do 20,30,40.........we will see.

RE: How many pins do you prefer??
I am at a five pin sight. would never need those pin when hunting in the woods, but it always funshooting target when there is some distance between you and the target.

RE: How many pins do you prefer??
Two pins here, 20 and 40. I'm thinking about going to just one. I have yet touse the 40 yard pin for hunting conditions.
