Then I thought about some more.....That makes pretty good sense. As it gets dark, your effective range dissipates anyway due to limited light, and heck, you don't need that pin anymore anyway.......It's the minute, teeny weeny details we just wouldn't think about that sometimes burn us......How aggravating would that be to wait all year for a shot at a bruiser only to finally get it on the last day of season and not be able to see your 20 yard pin.....But by golly there's my 40 glowing bright......
That's exactly right. It took just a couple times out to figure out which colors winked out on me sooner than others. I rearranged them into this order probably the third time ever out with fiber optics. The "green means go, yellow use caution, red wait a second" thought process was an afterthought one day. :)

greg I requested the same as yours when I got my viper. When I had the fibers replaced.....he sent it back to me green;red;yellow;green. I just added a 5th pin in yellow.....and placed it second on the progression. MY eyes actually see the yellow better (more clearly) even in very sufficient light.

get you a one pin slide sight, they work great.that way if you do get a chance for a longer shot simply slide the indicator to the preset mark for that yardage.
