Personal choice..my young friend, personal choice.

I've never shot one. I've shot beside them..they are quiet, I'll give them that.. But they look so outdated even the new ones. When I bought my Bowtech in 05 I wanted to shoot all the top line bows. I have 1 Mathews dealer..I drove 45 minutes to get to him, he was supposed to be open, (according to posted hours)but he was closed..I never went back. I bought the one I liked best out of the ones I shot.

I guess if you really wanted any indepth reasoning you could post a poll asking the question to see why.

1. Cost
2. options
3. prefer other brand
4. Availability

you could add any other things and see if it's Price or something else

As I look through the post it looks like the most people with there nose in the air is the non mathew owners. Like I said life time warrenty, customer service, and the great bow you get it is hard to beat. I've had 2 other brands and limb went bad thats out of your pocket so if there is any problems with that cheap bow you are right up after having things fixed and spending the extra money any way. Just my thought I have been around the track a few times so I do know and I know you do get what you pay for in a product.. I've owned many bows.

We all have opinions that's obvious. I'll start by saying I LOVE my LX. BUT I want to say that I'm not one of those Mathews shooters that has 9 shirts, 6 hats, 4 stickers on my truck and the mind-set that it's Mathews or nothing! Die hard Mathews shooters can be an arrogant bunch, and I'llbet y'all probably know a guy like that!

I bought my LX based on most of the advise y'all have mentioned. I love how it fits me. I personally like the grip and I'm not a person that gets real concerned if a bow looks high tech or not. I've really never cared about the dampners either, they're just there. It feels good to me, I can hit the X-ring most of the time and most importantly to me, it'll put venison on my table if I shoot 'er straight! That's what it's all about for me!

I can promise that if I can financially handle it, and I get in the mood for another bow, I will do somthing similiar to Paul and I will shoot several and whatever fits me and feels the best to me will end up in my case! Before my LX I had a Hoyt Ultra-Tec, a Parker Force Multiplier and aDiamond Recon for years, and back a few years I shot an Oneida Screaming Eagle. One thing I did just notice is that I've never had 2 bows from the same company!

Who knows what's next! For now, I'm still head over heals in love with my LX

Great thread! I've enjoyed this one!

The two bows I've owned have been a Reflex and a High Country. Those are "others". :D
