There's no mistake. He shot the deer from straight on......10 yds.....right in the back. They show the impact.

It shocked the heck outta me.....and pissed me off REALLY quickly.

There was NO mistaking what occurred.

I was looking through channels today, and at 3:30 "closing the distance" is on. Now, I was thinking this could possibly be a re-run of the episode last night. The description reads: "scouting equals success"-Follow Chad Reeves on a six day bowhunt during Thanksgiving week. Is this it?

I saw that also and couldn't believe he took that shot i thought he was going to give a bleat and stop him broadside. When he drew back then he turned and put his head down i thought he is going to have to wait at full draw or let back down then he took the shot . That blew me away the arrow stuck in him probably in the shoulder blade. I usually like that show but i just lost all respect for Chad when he did that . I think he is normally the camera man . He should go back to that because he is not a hunter to me

I will have to watch the show. If it is true what you say is true believe many people are calling in and writing e-mails to Chad and the entire production staff for the bad shot. People have to remember that these guys on tv are not super stars bad ass hunters... they are just like you and me.In the show most of thier mistakes are covered up by editing. Trust me a lot what you see is editing. But you also have to remember that they make mistakes just like you and I the difference is their mistakes is broadcasted to 42 million homes for people to watch and let them know they made a mistake.

I sent my e-mail before I posted this thread. My son was watching this show, too. There's a lesson to be learned in that show, though.

Right After the shot Um, no it did not look good, at all?? It looked to me as if he hit shoulder.

Interview with matt makes it sound like Matt was dissapointed in the shot.
Yeah your right, chad, he did turn to eat, and you shot anyway?

now this is what gets me... He makes it sound like he didn't pick a spot, just aimed at the body and shot. Something tells me Chad got a case of "buck fever".

Sounds like Matt thought it was a good shot.

Watching this got me thinking, what would the Drury's say about the shot Chad took. I think they would rip him a new one, but Matt, who seems to be the head guy didn't even point out it was a bad angle to shoot.

There i Vented, I hate watching this kind of thing. But, i feel it makes me a better hunter to do so. THanks, Kyle.
