I hate it when people steal your stuff. My cousin and his buddy had two or three stands stolen from them. The worst part is they know who did it but can not prove it.

If it will protect your $100 stand and $100 ladder it's worth it.

If it will take the guy a lot of effort to get the equipment he probably will give up.

I'd bet the clown will be back in the area though looking for more stuff. So, sitting out there or a good hidden cam would be a good idea.

I dont own a trail camera and i dont really plan on giving him a trail camera in addition to all my stuff.... that lock is pretty expencive i'll look into it the chain i used was a towchain pretty tuff stuff, last stands i had stolen were in a different area so i thought this new place would have a lesser chance of them getting stolen, at the last place my uncle, my neighbor, and my friend all had theirs stolen, we found out who did it took doe esterus and poured it down the vents at the base of their windshield and kicked his windows in a little payback but it still dosent get your stand back, this is rediculous really why do i deserve to get my stand stolen[:@]

I have seen guys put up stands using logging chain. No cutters would go through that. So what happened next? The thief shot it off.

It just proves that if a thief wants it bad enough, he/she will get it.

So why put it out all season? Pointless in my opinion. Especially 3 times.

Like I said, you need to suck it up, etch your info in a hidden area and set him up! Or just etch your info on your stands in the future, do what you can to protect it and enjoy your time in the woods. You will be able to do anything if you do not have something on your stand that makes it yours!

I would find the person, tie them naked to a tree and burn them with lit cigarette butts.

Set up a trip circuit with some C4. Heck even use an M80 and it would be funny to see the idiot's reaction if you set the timing with the Trail Cam.

At first I was going to say "quit putting them in the same area" but you just cleared that up so I'll ask, could you be getting set up by someone you tell what area you hunt who isn't as trustworthy as you think?Or is it only you and a select few that know and youcan trust?Just something to think about and I hope it isn't someone you know.
