I agree with none. Early in the season they don't seem to be worried about anything but eating and staying cool, IMO

I forgot to add...............and staying alive

I have had ZERO luck with scents drags, especially in early season. I bought a bunch of buck urine in off season. I am going to try mock scrapes with licking branches and a scent dripper. I know where most of the trails and scrapes are in my area.

I agree with the others. I believe stand placement is the best, and of coursewatch the wind and use a scent killer.
The one good thing about vanilla is it smells good if you spill itin your truck or back pack .

Very little to None. Keep clean and stay down wind.

A few times I have used an early scent that I believe made a bit of a difference.
Paul Pollick's Doe Urine or Buck urine. He makes several different scents.

Very rare do I useANy scent outside of the rut. But if I usesome it is Paul Pollick's.
www.dearlures.com If you call him he will talk your ear off about it. During business Hrs.

Only reason I use any during the rut is to stop them or slow the deer down.

Stay as scent free as possible during the early season. The ONLY scent I'll use at this stage is perhaps a bit in my Mock Scrapes and then it's only JVS Gels that I trust these days.
