How long will properly cared for and frozen venison last?

I'm still eatin it. All mine gets vacuum sealed. I haven't noticed any negatives.

I have plenty, vacuum sealed the bomb. If it works with fish it will work with anything.

If you have the vacuum sealer or have a butcher that has one that works great. If not, wrap in saran wrap type plastic, and then put in a freezer grade ziploc bag and it won't freezer burn for a long time. I am still eating venison at least 2x a week right now but will probably be done with the rest of it by the end of July. Next year I will have to keep an extra one..........if the GF would eat it more often I think I could eat 4 in a year.[8D]

I vacum pac it and had a package last 2 years and tasted like I just harvested it. I butcher wrap the stuff I plan on eating the first 3 months and vacum pac the rest.

The foodsaver-vac, is the way to go!!!!

If it's not vacuum packed, around a year. I've giving a bunch away right now just to get rid of it.....September will be here soon, and the freezer will fill right back up.

Still good here with LOTS more in the freezer.
