So, you are only a real hunter if you use a longbow? Now that's BS. And again seems to show the superiority complex that some guys have. A guy starts shooting traditionaland then automatically he's doing the only real hunting. Cracks me up every time.
I never said that. I still use a compound sometimes. I am sorry, you can't grasp the concept of this whole thread. But what does one on here expect?

Me too stupud for all of you guyz on hear.

You said people have lost the real meaning of hunting. What exactly do you mean by that? To me it reads that if you use a high poundage bow you've lost the meaning of hunting. that has nothing to do with the meaning of hunting. it's a person's preferences in weapons.

And comparing a high poundage bow to 300 mag is rediculous. The bows are lower poundage than they used to be. I could see making a comment if everyone were using 120# compounds. You guys rip on quick for making that comparison and yet use it yourself for your own means.

I don't know. You think so?

You said people have lost the real meaning of hunting. What exactly do you mean by that?
Meaning, its not all about getting the best advantage possible to use the most destructive weapon available so you can tell everyone you got a deer. This is definatley aimed to a few on here claiming no way 55# equipment can get the job done. These folks are puppets of advertisers. They get wowed by the numbers, and believe most what they are told.

To me it reads that if you use a high poundage bow you've lost the meaning of hunting.
Go back thru and read all posts from the beginning. Read man, read.

And comparing a high poundage bow to 300 mag is rediculous.
Nobody did that. Strickly showing the mindset of youth today. Read man, read.

You're only a year older than me grandpa!!!!

I've read every post. What i see makes me laugh. it's everyone's choice what they use. And, if you haven't figured out that Fran is busting your chops you need to relax and chill out a little.[8D]

When I started shooting in the late 70's pretty much every longbow shooterI knew had a bow higher tha 60#'s. They realized even what the Native Americans realized that the more effective the equipment the better off you are.

However, it seems today we have a reverse macho attitude that saysI can kill with a light weapon so thereforeI am superior to you andI know better.

I know that you can kill something with a tree branch with a string tied to it rated at 25 lbs if you wanted to.

No offense to anyone here, but saying that the Native Americans used their primitive weapons to take all the game in North America in defense of using a lighter poundage is just dumb.

It also took them a hunting party and about 30 of those pointy sticks with stones on the end to kill their prey. There was a video posteda while back of African tribes flinging spears into elephants as their means of hunting.

Just because it CAN be done doesn't mean it SHOULD be done.

Alright here is the last word

Having a limit on KE is the way to go, example

Guy shooting a 50# Bowtech Guardian with a heavy arrow is going to have more KE than a guy shooting a PSE Nova with soft round wheels at 60# pounds with a lighter arrow.

Using WonderBoy(Quick) logic he would take the 60# bow because it is more manly[:'(]

I will use smart man logic(Huntinson) and shoot the bowtech, it is just that simple

As Motown would say Gospel
