Default Ol' Man Tara?

I recently bought an Ol' Man Vision and liked it for the comfort factor. However, for a number of reasons, I feel that the Ol' Man Tara--the fixed position stand--would've been a better choice. I'm also thinking of using Ol' Man's strap-on ladder for ascending the tree. What's the experience of those who have used one or both of these products? Pro's and con's?

The tara is a good fixed stand,a little pricey but the net seat is comfortable and it sets up easy and solid.
