I use the Scott Little Bitty Goose w/ Buckle my concern has also been the consistency with the velcro. I'm sure after lots of time with the velcro you know when it's right.

Buckle. Had a Scott with the velcro and after a couple of years the velcro got worn and the strap would pop off just as I would hit the stiffest part of the draw cycle. Switched to a buckle after that.Makes perfect sense that the velcro will wear out asyou are using the exact same spot every time.

I don't like climbing with mine either, always banging off the tree steps as was metioned. Stays in my fanny pack until I'm in the tree.

Velcro as well. Like someone already mentioned, once crimped after initial ajustment, the velcro is a non issue/ no noise.;)

buckle...i guess. nylon strap fed through a plastic buckle, i think it is called a trufire grizzly or something. has a part you grip in your palm but still wraps around your wrist like a velcro strap, minues the noisy velcro.....really, really like it.
