RE: IS YOUR RELEASE VELCRO OR BUCKLE?
I use the Scott Little Bitty Goose w/ Buckle my concern has also been the consistency with the velcro. I'm sure after lots of time with the velcro you know when it's right.

RE: IS YOUR RELEASE VELCRO OR BUCKLE?
Buckle. Had a Scott with the velcro and after a couple of years the velcro got worn and the strap would pop off just as I would hit the stiffest part of the draw cycle. Switched to a buckle after that.Makes perfect sense that the velcro will wear out asyou are using the exact same spot every time.
I don't like climbing with mine either, always banging off the tree steps as was metioned. Stays in my fanny pack until I'm in the tree. |

Velcro as well. Like someone already mentioned, once crimped after initial ajustment, the velcro is a non issue/ no noise.;)

RE: IS YOUR RELEASE VELCRO OR BUCKLE?
buckle...i guess. nylon strap fed through a plastic buckle, i think it is called a trufire grizzly or something. has a part you grip in your palm but still wraps around your wrist like a velcro strap, minues the noisy velcro.....really, really like it.
