I probably wouldn't have an issue with a velcro strap either....except....

How do you keep the meatal part of your release aid from clanking on the rail as you're climbing? It seems to always do that.....so I just leave it attached to my bow until I hoist it up and get settled.

And....How do you know you've got it in exactly the same spot, every time (could change your draw?)?

Just different strokes....
Have one that tucks into your cuff

After wearing it all summer long you know where it goes, and if by chance its off by 1/8" it means nothing for your shot.

I know you're right, rybo....mine just irks the crap out of me when I try to climb with it on. And the draw thing.....yeah...I guess you wear a spot in your strap, soon enough.

GMMAT,

I think consistency issues more than noise are the problem a lot of people have with velcro. I admit, mine is not always consistent.

I like a buckle for summer shooting and such but come hunting season, I prefer velcro because it's easier and more snug over layers

Mine has Velcro, but the next one I buy will have a buckle. I have had the Velcro slip as the release gets older.

Same here. Once you're used to how you like it; it's just as easy as tying your shoes.

Plus, your fingers, and wrists change size with water content, so, your buckle could fit differently from one day to the next also.

Like the fit of the velcro better. some time I switch gloves and I can tighten the velcro better.

I use velcro too.I use it for the simple fact that I have skinny wrists and I can get velcro tighter than a buckle.
