I went to Bass Pro after work today. Its only about a 15 minute drive from work. I had to return a pair of LaCrosse Alpha Burly Sports. I really liked the boots, very comfortable, light, easy on and off, but they just couldn't stand up to the mesquite thorns here in Tx. They have several punctures in them, large ones. I figure a $109.00 pair of boots should hold up a little better. Bass Pro took them back with no questions. I had the boots for 6 months. I replaced them with a pair of Red Head 16" Bayou Zip Snake Boots. Still waterproof, pretty comfortable so far, and being snake proof they ought to hold up against punctures a bit better. At least I hope so.
I also picked up a Bitzenberger fletching jig. I'm giving my Jo-Jan Multi-Fletcher to a friend. I've wanted one of these for a while. It was time. The Jo-Jan worked well, I keep hearing that the Bitz works REALLY WELL. I know I'll never have to buy another.
I got a bonus for being employee of the month. Its gone now. But what the heck, gotta love free money!
