Ontario buck tag is $180 this year. I don't find it unreasonable compared to some states.

and i thought i had it bad....haha, i guess for a college student with an empty bank account.

travel was mentioned as well..... I guess im also lucky that it only costs me around $10-$15 (depends if im runningon time or not)in fuel each hunting trip. But at 3-4 trips a week, thats a tank of gas... travel for me gets expensive, i cant imagine what some of yall pay

im going into my fourth year, however i just changed my major to accounting. I played football my first two years, but injured my lower back. I was going to come back because we play Navy this season and Maryland next season, but decided against it. I'll be there for 2.5 years. I hunt elk neck state park: turkey point, rogues harbour, carter, and I am going to try to hunt elk neck state forest this year.

Im wondering if you did any work at Fair Hill? I used to go out there and watch all the deer. Its incredible how many are out there..

stay outta the forest if you dont have a gps[8D] I've lived next to it for 23 years....

I've had numerous people come wandering up to my door near hypothermia and all outta sorts. ITs a big woods and easy to get turned around in.

In WV it only cost me $35.00 for a combo hunting and fishing license and you can buy 2 extra archery tags for $20.00 a piece.

IL is well into the $400+ range for non-resident hunting, archery and the refuge tag or whatever that thing is you need.....just to bowhunt deer.[:-]

Between that and gas money it's still worth every penny (and more)to head out to IL and chase big bucks with a good friend.

Tags only - around $70 for turkeys and around $240 for black bear.

Travel expenses only add to the cost.
