In my home, the wife is in charge of all decisions 99% of the time. She worries about a bunch of little things that don't really matter to me like fabric patterns, paint schems, dry flower arrangements and etc...
I step in 1% of the time when an important decision needs to be made based on logic and not emotion; let her decide what goes over the mantle.

Hang the picture on a bear claw necklace around the buck's neck. LOL. JK. Let her have her way and then you can have your own manly space in the house to put your trophy's. And that shall remain your space when you remind her of the mantle picture.

This is a no brainer The deer head of course. It already has surrounding habitat with the grassy stuff on both sides, it just looks natural. very beautiful buck by the way
