is it hard to shoot a very fast bow

I would be willing to bet there are several that can shoot that well if they do it often enough. When I used to shoot every day I could touch arrows at that distance.
I can't come close to that now, but I don't shoot nearly as much anymore and hardly ever at that range.
I have seen a few that could shoot bare shafts at those distances.

Hey Maaaaatttttttt. Hey Riiiicccckkkkk.
Can ya'll shoot 2" groups at 60 yds......consistently?
I am seriously asking this. I've just never seen anyone who could do it. I shoot 60 yds and.....honestly.....I think hitting my 8-ring is a pretty good shot from that distance.
I shoot indoor 3D tournaments from 43yds and in. I finished 2nd, 1st and 2nd, this Spring.....and I haven't seen anyone shoot like that. NOBODY.
Come to think of it......How big is the scoring area of the BUCKMASTERS tournaments? I've seen those guys miss it......and I'm guessing it's at LEAST 6" square. (I've gone to the last 2 tournaments)
Are there REALLY guys who can shoot like that?

Now if your guessing at the yardarge and the bow isn't set up for it that is a different story.
I think it really depends on what your skill level is and what your willing to accept. I know guys that are happy if they can hit an eight inch pie plate at 20 yards. To each his own I guess.
I'm not saying your not correct on your assumption, but just because YOU can't do it don't think no one else can either. I have seen some pretty amazing things done with a bow and I don't go to a lot of target shoots. I have seen guys shooting traditional equipment with no sights that can shoot better than me. Sort of humbling, even though I didn't think I was that great to begin with.
Some people are just naturally good at this.
By the way the 10 ring on a 90 meter (98 yards) FITA target is around 4 inches.

i never shoot a super fast bow. my bow shoots 258 fps but i was looking at a new bow and guy told me that they are hard to shoot, because of the brace height

Said very well everyone, practice make perfect... You ca not expect to shoot tight groups a few weeks out of the year. I went from the Mathews SQ2 which was shooting 263fps on its best day and swithed to the X-Force which is shooting 325fps not fully tuned. The groups are the same, except 62fps faster with a slightly heavier arrow.

Define consistently.
Closest comparison I have hard data on is some info in my shooting log book from shooting FITA last year. With full blown compound unlimited equipment (long stab, lens, skinny arrows, etc) my best 50 meter score for the summer on a fita target (10 ring is 3.14" approx.) I was able to shoot a 327 out of 360. This is 36 arrows scored as 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1, at a distance of approx 55 yards. Our state record is a 343 and the guy that won the state championship last year shot a 327.
Mathews would have paid this guy $18,000 back in April for a group like that if it would have been shot at the Stan Open......
. Possible? Maybe...........but most likely he's FOS.**Edit - I originally posted my 30 meter score.......
