My cable slide has a waxy gunk covering it in the openings. I want to clean it, and was wondering:
A) How can I do that
B) Is it ok to take the cable off the slide, or will that screw up the cables, strings, etc.

I don't know how yours works, but mine you can simply unhook the cables and the slide falls right off. You could then clean it easily and put 'er all back on. Easy peasy.
