Default Why not use a lazer sight?

Here in the great state of Missouri, any sight that casts a beam of light onto the animal is illegal. As a matter of fact, Lumenok's are as well, but a different show....

I don't get it. I can understand not using spot lights and such, but why not a lazer sight???? What's the big deal? I believe if we could, I would......What do ya'll think?

The way it was explained to me last week was that using electronics such as lazer sights and lumenoks gives the hunter the incentive to shoot before and after legal hunting hours.

I doubt I would use a lazer sight myself, but I would take full advantage of lumenoks.

Lumenocks are illegal in MO? I thought I read somewhere they werent included in laser sights and other lazer things because they are not a laser they are just a light.

The way I read the rules, lumenoks should be legal in Missouri. Rule states any sighting device that casts a beam of light on the game is prohibited. Lumenok clearly doesn't fit under that category.

Lazer sights however do fall under that category. I guess they think it's too easy to aim and shoot with a lazer sight as apposed to a pin sight? I don't know.

I've not found it in the rule book, but I've had SEVERAL conservation agents tell me lumenoks are illegal. I would think they would make things more.....ethical.

I can begin to understand the lazer sight thing, though....That actually makes sense.

Yeah it's somewhat the same as the whole "lighted reticle" thing...

Hah,

I'd love to see a state legislature debating the finer points of arrow nocks - the question on the floor is to light or not to light

Put it this way Mo, if you think you shake while holding your pin steady on the target, imagine a laser light on the target, target panic would have a whole new meaning. Be glad their illegal, I wouldn't choose to use one otherwise.
