Default Black Bears, bow in hand, spot and stalk!

Anyone want to join me Friday, Sat and Sunday?

I have my first trip plannedinto my bear hunting area for the season, I'm looking forward to it, bears have really grown on me as far as hunting them, there's something about glassinga big old bruin;thenmaking a stalk across the canyon to him, with just your bow between the two of you...

If anyone else bowhunts them via spot and stalk, I'd love to hear your insight and of your experiences..include pix too if you have any...

Sounds like a great time. One of these days we will have to swap each other a hunt. You won't know how to act hunting all this flat terrain. Good luck this weekend Troy.

MO, I'd love too, just let me know when you want to hit this western country... I need a year in advance to plan..its all over the counter out here..

"Take a predator call it adds LOTS of excitement..."

Yup Kodiak, I was hoping you'd reply.. I know you hunt a lot of bear..I have a fawn in distress call I have tried..havent had much luck with it yet..maybe I am doing something wrong..

"Troy ...... you ever been this close? ....... "

Tony, I can't get the URL to open... but I did kill a bear off the ground at 8 yards with my bow.. closest so far and while shed hunting I've had some close hairy encounters with sows and cubs... I pack a 44 mag.. have had to shoot over two different sows heads before to get them off my case...

thanks Rob and NJ...coug..sorry barely afford the fuel here! LOL

I'll be packing my 44 mag just incase..since I am going alone..
