Yeah I'm still impatiently waiting for an Allegiance to show up. Seems there are lots of Tributes in stock which is why I'm looking at them too. Still waiting though as the ally was my first choice all along. I'm giving it 2 more weeks then I'm buying a bow !!!!!!!!!1

Terry, I really think it will be worth the wait and hold off for the 07 Allegiance. It could be here any day, but no one knows for certain. They've been ordered, like lots of other 07 new toys, but they're just not here yet!!!
Give it some time--unless of course you want a new bow for this turkey season--then the decision takes a turn.

Hmm, so you ordered an '07 Allegiance. I would have been curious to hear from folks that had the '07 versions of each model as I have heard more than one comment mentioning a difference in feel between the '06 and '07 models. The weight reduction is probably behind this.

My pick probably would have been the Tribute as I tend to prefer a longer brace height and the slightly shorter axle to axle length. Though they are not the same bow for obvious reasons I have found my Diamond Black Ice to probably be my favorite hunting bow to date. The Black Ice and Tribute share many similarities though I thought it would prove worthwhile to mention it.

Rob/PA was down last week and brought his '06 Ally. The differences in the '06 version and the '07 ae noticeable. There's more "cutouts" of material on the riser (and I'm assuming the '07 is a little lighter....or, at least, it felt that way to us)......and the grip change is a BIG positive in MY eyes.

The 07 Ally actually uses the same riser as the 07 Equalizer now. They weigh the same, have the same brace and ATA. So really it isn't the same bow as the 06 anymore. What I'm curious about mostly is whats the difference in the new cams for 07? They have changed them to eliminate cam lean so for those who have now shot both the 06 and 07 Allegiance , have you noticed much difference in the draw? Not really concerned about a slight increase in shock/vibration as when its all decked in Simms and STS and a Stealth stabilizer that will be gone anyways. The Black Ice unfortunately is only available through Basspro up here and they don't have them and have no clue when they will. MAtter of fact those guysdon't have a clue about alot of things it seems.

I've shot them both and noticed no change in the draw cycle.

Perfect! Thats what I was hoping to hear since I really liked thefeel of the 06 cams.

One thing I thought about, Terry.....is I have the smooth mods on my '07 and Rob has the speed mods on his '06.

In all honesty....I'd feel better if you'd PM Greg/MO and get HIS views, too. He's the man when it comes to BowtechQ&A's.
