beaver for bear bait

If it's not skinned then why and how was it killed? Using an unskinned beaver you took trapping would be wanton waste up here and will land you in a heap of trouble. You can use the carcass for bait but the pelt has to be salvaged in AK.

I agree with kodiak. Keep the pelt they look great and can bring you a little extra money. also if the beaver is skinned it will allow the meat smell to spread better never have used them for bear but have for fisher. and all i did was cut the front and hind legs off but the whole carcuss would probably do better for something as big as a bear.
