What do you think?

I am not happy with my silouette in the deer stand. So this is what I am thinking.....
I use a three segmented arm that on one end screws into the tree andon the other end I hang my bow from. I am sure you guys have all seen them. For some reason the manufacturer's name is not coming to my mind.
Anywho, I want to add something to my bow to help breakup my silouette. Since my bow hangs infront of me for the majority ofthe day, I was contemplating adding some fake leaves to my limbs.
I know that Sneaky Leaf (http://www.qadinc.com/c-2-.aspx) seems to work pretty well, but I have also heard that they are loud and I am not a big fan of adhesive anything on my bow. I was thinking about heading over to Walmart in the fall to see if I can't pick up a vine or two of realistic fall leaves, striping the metal wire out of the center and wrapping my bow limbs.
Anybody else do anything like this?

What works best for me is to find a tree with a lot of stuff directly behind me, Iwill findsuch spot then cutone spot through it so I can shoot 15-20 yards behind me, then I leave the rest alone. YesI have had deer within bow range, behind me that I couldn't get an arrow through, but it is well worth it knowing I am pretty hard to see.

The name of your device is most likely called EZ Hanger by Realtree. If you climb a straight but bare tree up to the point where you hang no matter what you do you will stand out unless your 35 feet up[&:]. Pick a tree with cover and blend into it.

I agree with Rickmur,I usually find a tree with cover to blend into,Or a tree next to a evergreen that will help me blend into the background.
If you do come up with something for on your bow of your own design,And it work's well go for it.
Good Luck To You

I do not no if this will impy to you or not but where I live most of the trees that do not have much cover but way up high is trees thatthe bark iswhite like a popalar tree or possibly a birch tree and if you are not way up high you will not blend in wearing regular camo maybe a winter style breakup camo with more white in it would work for you.

I'm a cover fanatic. I don't like to cut lanes or anything. I always look for triple and double trees, trees with low bushy trees growing up to my level or trees I can lasso with a rope I carry and pull in and tie off to give me cover. As a last resort I'll clip some bushy limbs and weave them in my climber to hide me. I like them sticking out the sides on the back of the stand and a couple sticking hanging from the front. My stand has the perfect little places to wedge in a limb. IMO it's better to have a couple branches sticking out in front of you to break up your outline than to have wall or something hanging down that looks unnatural.

I am also a cover fanatic. I have the tree limbs on my stand and enough vines on my ladder to go from MD to China. I typically hunt in oak tree type settings vs. popular trees.
I hunt ridges more often than valleys and find myself doing an awful lot of stalk hunting on the edges of corn fields and logging roads. My silouette is a concern. I would like a product that would attach to my bow to give me an advantage on the ground. Something I could hide behind if and when I am caught in a stare down.
I saw the sneaky leaf product at a local shop this morning. I was impressed with how quiet it was but not impressed by the small adhesive tape. I will continue to look around.
