Why not just sight your bow in from the place you're gonna be shooting them from (i.e. a TREESTAND)?

Works, for me!

I have heard a couple folks mention the "aim low " rule when shooting from a elevated position and when shooting down a steep slope but we were shooting a 3-D tourney and they're the type that would say anything to throw the other guy off (LOL). I'm with the "bend at the waist" advice group here. You need to practice it until it becomes second nature.

There seems to be a real tendancy especially for trad archers to shoot (not aim) high on animals from tree stands. It is critical to keep that basic "t" form (torso and arms). Do this be either dropping a knee (Byron suggests this to keep your body weight centered), or bending at the waist. Schulz also suggests canting the bow more. In any case as already mentioned, you need to practice in the same type of scenerios that you expect to face.
