Youth Bow
I am thinking of buying a bow for my 9 year old grand son... He is approx. 75lbs... He has a draw lenght of 24 inches... He is of medium build... I would like to get one that can be adapted as he grows... Please advise on the following: boundage, size of arrows, type of broadhead, weight of bow, length.,, etc... Thanks for your response... Merry Christmas...

RE: Youth Bow
Have him try a Genesis. My son shoots in an archery leage (7-12 year old) and ther are 4 or 5 kids that shoot it. there is no specific draw length so he can shoot it til he's 90. At 20 pounds it's by no means a hunting bow but it's an excelent starter bow.

RE: Youth Bow
My son just out grew his Golden Eagle brave. It has a max 22" draw. So he'll be getting a christmas gift of a 2003 Champion Badger bow. Its capable of 23-29" draws, 80% let-off, and either 35lb or 45lb max limbs. It should take him to his next adult sized bow.
