I can't pick out a bow for you any more than I can pick out a pair of shoes that will fit you right. You have to go to a pro shop and figure out what is best for you. That's the only way to make sure you get what's right.

For the record, I've owned Bowtechs, Mathews, Hoyts, Bears, Reflex, and others. All were good bows.

ORIGINAL: Buellhunter

Try them all!
Go find a PRO SHOP
as a first bow, I thinkit will be important to get expert advise and help.

GO TO A PRO SHOP!

Good luck and welcome to the madness we all love!
Good wisdom from Buellhunter... after all, why would you want to shoot my bow? Find one that fits you not me.

Agree with the fellas that said go shoot at a pro shop. Make sure the bow is fitted for you. I was going to buy a Hoyt and like how the Bowtech Allegiance felt to me. However, Hoyt is a great bow. So is Matthews, Ross, Bear, Hgih Country, etc, etc.

Also, Redhead bows aren't "Redhead" bows.
The XSC is a Parker made for Bass Pro.
The XP-32 is a Reflex made by Hoyt for Bass Pro.

Diamond is a Bowtech made for places like Bass Pro, Gander Mt, etc
Diamonds are usually all single cam. Bowtech's are Binary.
Reflex is a Hoyt made for Bass Pro, Gander Mt, etc. Reflex has cams adjustable for draw length.. Hoyts have specific draw length cams. The whole cam has to be replaced to change draw length.

There are a lot of good bows out there. But I'd put my money on a Hoyt. Their new models are a huge improvement over last years, and IMO one of the best out there.

I've only owned PSE and thats probably all ill ever own, I think they make some of the nicest bows. If I werent to buy a PSE, id more than likely go with Mathews.
