Same here. When looking for a new bow I went to the range expecting to buy a Guardian. I pulled it back at 60 lbs (I shoot 70#) and it felt like about 72 or so to me. I thought, hmmm thats weird, wonder if all the new bows are that way. I picked up a Hoyt Vectrix and it was smooth as silk. So I thought, maybe its a bowtech thing, then I picked up an 07 Bowtech Tribute and well, I now own a Tribute!

In my opinion the Guardian is a good looking bow with everything I am looking for after the draw. But I can't see having Buck Fever in the top of a tree, struggling to pull back 65#'s, when I can shoot my Tribute at 70# and not struggle.

Draw length not withstanding I drew an 07 Allegiance with Smooth mods set at 65# and could not believe how nice it drew. That bow had a 27" draw length. I drew a Guardian with 27" mods on it and it was set to 62# and it felt like over 70# to me. Since I use my bow primarily for practice, 3d, and hunting that draw cycle scared me away. I need to be able to draw my bow on a course at least 40 times and probably with some let down without it wearing me out. Also, I would not want to be in a treestand all twisted around trying to yank that bow back.

I think it is a revolutionary design and if/when they give it some smooth mods and fix the cam lean it will be an absolute winner.
