LMAO! I had a teacher in high school who would always try to get a yearling in early season archery. Just cuz they tast sooo good.

Hah......they are harder to hit. At least you have a good spot to aim for though. [8D]

I can't wait to see the fawns this year.....my foodplot has really drawn in a LOT of family groups into the center or our property that used to be sattelite groups. I assume we will see a lot more fawns this year.

I've been lucky enough to get a few yearlings. The whole deer butchers like tenders. You have to be careful not to grip the meat too tight or it will just crush. Excellent eating. One year our hunting squad 7 guys ate an entire deer in one night.
