Personnally, I'll still be hunting deer in January. I'll loose half of December going to Seattle for the holidays... but come the end of the first week in Jan I'll be back at bowhunting.<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle> Then I'll settle down to honey-dos and things like that until Turkeys.

We have a bonus antlerless season in January in southern Iowa. So I'll be hunting that. Then it's 'yotes (year round) until turkey season (April). Then it's Bass, Catfish, and Crappie's during the summer. And then back to the deer. I'm finding less and less time for golf! My handicap is going to stink this year!

Thanks for the replies, but I was thinking more in the lines of bow hunting. I have heard of New Mexico mule deer rut hunts in January. Has anyone tried one of these?
