I have religiously worn Lacrosse boots all my life - Until I tried on a pair of Muck boots. The Mucks are twice as warm, twice as light and ten times more comfortable than anything I have ever worn. I don't post much on equipment, but I really feel these have made a difference in my hunting.

Glad to hear the compliments on Muck boots. I just picked up a pair of the Muck Woody Max at a local store. I am tired of cold weather but can't wait to try them out next late season.

I also got a pair of Lacrosse Alpha Burlys. Although I also wear Gortex boots. I have 2 pair of Rockys and a pair of cheap Walmart Herman Survivors. The Rockys are 1000 gram and 600gram.

I have a pair of Grange LaCrosse and a pair of Alpha Burly's. Used to use BOGS a lot and they were super quiet and light weight, but a small staub punched a clean hole through them. Membrane held, so they are still waterproof, but that neoprene ain't very tough.

I am hoping that Crocs (who makes those super light, super comfortable slipper mocks) will come out with some sort of hunting boot made from their lightweight, soft rubber. Would allow you to step very very lightly, and man are they comfortable!

Rubber boots are a must. They keep your feet warm and dry. I wear field and streams. I like them. DDicks sells them.
