I'll throw Alpine bows in there as well. I shot several in my younger years. All nice bows that got the job done.. Fair priced as well.

I would say maybe Parker.... I really hadn't heard of them a few years back. Got one after Iraq and got my EZ draw now. Sweet shooting, easy to draw and easy to hold and everyone says it is super quiet! So my vote is for the Parker bows! [8D]

I would say Parker bows, especially for the short draw archer. The Challenger, Microphoenix, Buckshot, and I'm probably missing one. I'm on my second Parker, and I'm just as happy with it as I am with the first.

id say every bow thats NOT made by Bowtech or Mathews. Not bashing on those 2 cuz id love to have one, but it seems like unless you dont have a mathews or bowtech you dont have the best. thats just my opinion. But to choose one, id say Parker.

DARTON... hands down. Sweet shooting bows. I don't like their grips but I take them off anyway so it doesn't matter.

The new darton's are sweet bows. Don't forget about the new high contry line. They are very nice as well. You can't go wrong with most bow companies these days.

Mathews Drenalin,,,,,,,,,,[8D]

JUST KIDDING everyone, don't get your camo thongs in a wad![8D]

Being serious I would have to say the Fred Bear Truth, IMO its right up there with bows that cost a couple hundred more.
