s-coil

is the simms s-coil THAT good?? i see more of you guys putting them on 600+$ BARE bows than i would ever thought. if you guys got 750$ to put into a bare bow why put a 15$ stabilizer on? is it THAT good?? im not knocking anyone by any means..please dont think that..i know putting 750$ into a bare bow means your getting a dang good bow that should be pretty shock free/quiet/balanced etc..andthats simply alot of change to put down for a bow period

but was just curious..are they that good or what?

i want a better stabilizer on my Highlander. i was going to go with a Fuse axiom. just seems like they combined all the best things into 1 stab. but if the s-coil is just as good why waste the money??

right now i shoot with NAP shock blocker. truthfully i dont think it does much for shock. i like the weight though...helps recoil. but id like the ultimate sound and shock reducing stab. and a bit of wieght.

fill me in....

These $750 bows don't need anything else.

The S-Coil works excellent compared to the more expensive models available. They work better for vibration and sound dampening than actuallybalancing the bow. They're not really heavy, so if you're looking for balance I wouldn't reccomend it.

Would so many people be buying and using them if they didn't work well?

RE: s-coil

i figured the expensive bows didnt need much...thats understandable..

and for 15-20$ people will use them just for the price lol...thats why im asking. i might go with an s-coil with a mini doinker or one of the modulars simms makes..get a little more leghnt, weight, and more vib/sound killers..i dont know...

gimme some recomendations! im just looking to really kill sound and vibration and give me enough weight and legnth to balance it..at the shot w/o my shock blocker i know the bow kicks a good bit..

Honestly, from what you're looking for in a stabalizer I would recommend a Stealth. A little more expensive, but I think you would be happier with one of those rather than the S-Coil. The S-Coil just doesn't have the weight I think you're looking for.

Just cause something is expensive doesn't mean it works better. To me, and S coil is a very economical and effective stabilizer. Doesn't matter if its going on 800$ bow or a $200 bow if it works it works.

If you are looking for both a weight and shock eliminating stabilizer, then you may want to consider the Doinker 7" Hunter camo. I have one on my Black Ice and really like it. The bow doesnt have a lot of shock to begin w/, but w/o the Doinker you definately notice a difference. It was pretty cheap too, I think I payed $20-25 at Gander Mtn. heres some pics.

RE: s-coil

thanx guys...i heard about the stealth but didnt look into them. that looks like a good option and designed well. price aint tooo bad either. keep the advice coming....i think stabilizers are one of the less thought of accessories..but can be pretty important and helpful.

Z..you sure that was only 20-25$? all the doinkers are expensive i though..was it on sale??

rybo..i know expensive doesnt always mean better...thats why i posted this...we ALL want the best performance for the money...

No sale, that was the price. If you have trouble finding one I could always pic you up one and mail it your way. Just pm me and let me know. I am thinking of taking a trip to Gander in the next week or so. just say the word.

The S-coil is a great stabilizer, awsome bang for the buck. I dont have one just because I like a little more weight so I have a Fuse Axium. I have shot several bows with the s-coils and they do awsome. My fiance has one oh her set up, parker micro pheonix.
