I finally got to see some Canadian deer.....live, in person and on the hoof. The only thing that would have been better.....is if I'd gotten up there prior to them shedding antlers.

We spent the weekend in Huntsville, Ontario........and I got my first look at a Canadian whitetail......and my first ride on a sled (a.k.a. snowmobile). It's not every day you get to 111MPH+ on the snow!

Yep, those Canadian deerhave some serious body size.Even their small deer are big!

If you were impressed with them you should head out west. The deer in southern Ontario are small in body size compared to the deer in Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

I saw does in the Edmonton bowzone that crap bigger than most deer in the states..

LOL ... one of my desires is to take a huge Alberta buck ...300+

MN deer are also alot bigger. The heaviest whitetail ever recorded in the United States was a 500lb Minnesota Buck.
