Default Giraffe hunting?

Anyone see the show on the outdoor channel the other night.......when theykilled a giraffe?

Is this for the "trophy" aspect? Have you ever heard of this?

My taxidermist did it a few years back.. the story is awesome, not to mention the size of the shoulder mount

He did it w/ a bow too, it was pretty impressive, he's got the rib w/ the arrow sticking through it next to the mount.. pretty neat display.

And yes i think its for the trophy.

i wonder what giraffe tastes like. Chicken, Pork, Beef, Venison? How do you score a "trophy" giraffe anyway?

I asked this question for 1 simple reason.......I've never heard of these animals being hunted.

I wanted to know if this was an isolated occurrence.....or common practice. I don't have a problem with you shooting bald eagles, pigmy elephants or sasquatches.....as long as there's a valid season for the animal. I just wanted to learn more about it BEFORE I formed an opinion.

Well again, how the heck do you scrore a giraffe? It doesn't have much for headgear - just a couple little stumps on the top of his head. Aller, were you suggesting scoring them based on their Vertebraes or was that comment directed to something else?
