Most of the shop/ranges in Wisconsin have bars in them.
Not a good idea in my book.
The one shop/range/bar owner I talked with up there just could not even fathom that I wasn't going to have a bar in my business?

Not a slam on Wisconsin but it is a different culture there. It's the only place I have ever seen church picnics advertised on banners with Miller or Budweiser on the banner?
Seems (not everyone in WI) their whole life revolves around beer?

The problem that I have is that even before I got saved and did drink I hated dealing with drunks. I can't imaginetrying to concentrated on my shooting with a bunch of drunks walking around being loud let alone watching out for them walking in front of you.[:'(]

This is what I mean, up here its common to see these things together. So maybe I just got used to it. Anyway, I do see the downsides to it. I definitely agree with having Drunks near ranges= not a good thing. lol. And GMMAT- can you read? For one this wasn't even a consideration for a business of my own, merely something speculative to provoke some thought and make some people question. Second - Like you already heard a couple times, In my area its common to see this type of business. SO if it was really such a crappy idea, do you think there would be successful businessman running shops described in same matter of this hypothetical one?

Why this may not work everywhere, it can easily work for certain niches of the country. In WI, it has worked pretty well, in IL it may not work at all, and the same goes for Iowa or any other state, its just knowing your customer base and demographics.

I think that's a ridiculous concept. If you want or need to drink, go to a Bar afterwards. NEVERmix shooting anything with drinking! Bad news![:@]
