Pretty nice ahunter...mine would have to be my first bow harvest. It was in 1999, September 17th to be exact. I had no idea what I was doing or how that moment would change my life.I had hunted only one other day in my life, which was the day before, I saw plenty of deer, but no shot opportunity. It was early on the second day just after light, two bucks came in, one of which was the largest buck I've ever seen alive, so I took a breath, reached for my bow and sat there in wait. He ate around for fifteen minutes or so then finally turn broadside. It was now or never. I drew, aimed and released. The arrow found its mark. The deer ran 75 yards and fell. I was a wreck and hooked for life. Best deer hunt to date for me. Not the largest buck but that one changed so much for me.

Mine has to be my first bow kill. It was in October of 1997 and I was hunting on the ground. It was around 9 am and I had a horrible migraine, so I figured I would give a few grunts on my call one more time and then call it quits. I grunted and waited a few minutes and looked up the hill behind me and there was a forkhorn walking my way. He was eating and rubbing on some trees. He walked behind a tree and I drew. He took a few more steps and his vitals were open, but between two trees. I had a small window to shoot and it was about a 25 yard shot up hill. I aimed a little high and let 'er fly. The arrow hit its mark and the deer folded up about 30 yards down the ridge. Needless to say my migraine just disappeared and I was a very happy hunter.

This past Nov in Alberta, I had my best hunt so far. There was alot of snow and cold too. It was like a winter wonderland, perfect conditions.
I rattled in my first bucks ever and saw the biggest buck of my life (thick 10pt) within 20yrds but no shot opp.[&o]Killed a nice 8pt with a 19yrd heart shot and watched him drop within 60yrds on my next to the last day of my hunt. It was awesome!

I'd have to say back in the day, when I'd go on those all weekend beaver hunting trips. But once I found the perfect one, I gave it up. Now I pretty much don't hunt beaver anymore. Just deer, turkey and some waskily wabbit.

My first bow kill!! A buddy of mine had a two man ladder stand he let me sit in. My ten year old son sat with me and did all the calling. He called in a nice 10point, shot and missed, 15 min. later I shot a nice doe. The best part of the hunt was my sons reaction of the one I missed, breathing heavy, nervous and I can't believe it couldn't hear our heart beats!!
