Bob, What's the draw weight on that bow?
But remember that a 166 pound bow would probably have to shoot an arrow close to a tree trunk. I still have a hard time thinking it would be at over 300 fps, but I'm sure it would have an aweful lot of momentum.

I believe the History Channel had a show on about bows and they said a bow used by Mongolian Horese proably achieved 300 fps, anyone ever heard anthinhg about this?

They must have been pretty tough to be able to pull 166 lbs while on horse back.
A lot of the bows of the past though were very heavy bows. Most old English longbows (back into the 1200's) pulled well over 100 pounds.
BTW, Did you know "giving the bird" originated though archery related events?
