RE: pendulum sight
I have a Mantis and have been using it for the last 2 seasons. I am very happy with the sight and love the V-drive for 3d. I would suggest that you practice a lot with the pendulum feature and note where you hit at different distances. While the pendulum does help with compensation there is still as much as 2.5" of vertical variance out to 35 yards. Out to 40 I am still 5 inches low, so you need to consider distances. All in all it is a great sight and I haven't found a reason to switch yet.

I have a Tru-glo pendulum and I like it but it can be a little noisy when unlocked in penulum mode. Since the pendulum swings, this is a moving part and will rattle a bit on release. I'm considering going back to my Cobra Sidewinder. Has 3 pins for varying distances and is much brighter in low light.

RE: pendulum sight
I have a Cobra and I love it! Most places I hunt you'll never get better that a 30 yard shot so it's perfect for me, I know of others that hunt in fields and like a long shot so to them it isn't as affective, it is deadly at 30 yards
