I was reading a mag,I think it was the Peterson bowhunting mag.And I read a article on this bowhunter, and it said that he got caught doing something unethical. It was that he would stand in his stand and have somebody let a trophy buck let loose by him so he could shoot it and then claim it was a 100% fair chase animal on his videos.Did anyone else hear this? if it's true, who was it,Just curious.

I would think that to be not true at all, at least not in print in a well cirulated magazine. If true I would think they would protect the fact as an industry secret and not tell about in a hunting magazine.

I think Noel Feather was caught taking an Illinois killed deer to a check station im Missouri. Im not sure but I do know that he is not making any more hunting videos.
Seriously, it gives us all a bad name when some of huntings most well known figures like Noel Feather crosses the line just for $$$$$$.<img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle>

Noel was the "Bill Jordon" of his day, I do recall hearing he was involved in something "unethical" but do not remember what it was, I do know his video making came to an almost screeching halt afterwards, I know also that it used to be a team hunt type video with Dan Fitzgerald, they were the video kings 15-20 years ago. I really dont know what happened but he and Dan parted ways and not much was heard of Noel after that.

If I'm not mistaken,I thought he shot to many deer on a ranch in Texas while filming a video to sell.I read somewhere the guide told him it was O.K. to shoot more then he had permits, they would take care of all the deer and get permits for them? Its to bad,he was a good hunter and a good shot with a bow and arrow. It sad to see so many people get so greedy and get caught. He lost all of his sponsors, and alot of credibality as a fair chase hunter and alot of respect from all the decent hunters who are doing things legal.

Noel had many many more counts of game violations then any 1 state could offer, and I think many more then slid by unaccounted for.
The big one that I remember was the yellowstone pics. Cant remember if it was deer or elk, pretty sure it was elk they were "bowhunting", just one of the many contributing factors to his demise!
