ANYONE shoot a red dot sight ?
just wondering if any of you have shot any of the red dot sights out there and if so what do you think of them, i don't want 100 replys from people that dont like them or any of that just would like to know from someone that has shot them what they think of them thanks Jim

I used one when I hunted with a crossbow it was one with about 10 seperate settings of brightness. I do not remember the brand name. I had good luck with it. I started shooting a compound bow about 12 years ago.

I have never used one on a bow but have two on encore pistol barrells. I would assume they work pretty much the same but can't say for sure. I like them for my pistols. The variable light setting work great for low and bright light during the different times of the day. I don't lose the dot like I did cross hairs on my 50cal muzzle barrell. Not much magnification but I personally don't need much since I am limited with distance anyway. Hope this helps.

I've been shooting a pollington for about 6 years or so. It's so nice it should be illegal. 11 level settings. Because the way your eyes work, it's like painting the deer with a dot. Great if you wear glasses for a quicker set up and shoot, though I don't wear glasses. I guess what they say about , don't blank blank with yourself or you'll go bling isn't true after all.

that is kinda my problem i wear glasses and its getting hard to see the sight pins and focus on the target at the same time , i am not sure what to do the red dot sight is one of the things i have been told to try.
Yes i just got new glasses just because i know someone will say some thing about that.
i am not ready to give up on bow hunting so i need to find some way of making it easier with my poor eye sight
i know in the state of IL they are legal as long as they do not project light as a red dot laser scope does i have seen a few red dot bow sights where the light in contained in the scope so they would be legal
