FWIW I met a guy on a hunt in Montana two weeks ago who said his experiences with USO had been positive.

Never trust a bow under 40 (inches).

Had a friend hunt with U.S.O. and had nothing but praise for them. Depends on the guide and the area.

We had a bad experience with Robson2 Outfitters from Ontario. He took our 609.90 each from eleven guys in our group and another eleven that were to go a week after us. The more I check into the history of this guy the worse it gets. Bad thing is I heard great things from two other people that hunted with them the year before. One of these guys I grew up with and trust completely. Look out for the Outfitter. If you know how to get ahold of them let me know...

I would guess you could get a rotten apple in any barrel. There really are "Good Cops" and "Bad Cops" and there is no such place as "Never Never Land". Now, is this George Taulman the guy who's the head cheese in US Outfitter? I don't know the law about the airial scouting, but it would seem that anyone who flew a plane could get written up if he hunted the same or next day in that country. Did he himself do it or did they indict him because he's the CEO or whatever. All I know is that they seem to have a LOT of the prime habitat leased up in a lot of states for a lot of different game. They're high priced but from everything I've heard do have the animals. I think they're a rich mans outfitter... catering to the lazy for the most part, although... I don't think there's a "LAZY" way to hunt elk. You got to go where they are. If they in fact poisoned some waterholes they should throw the book at them. Is this rumor or was it documented and procecuted. Ground water contamination is frowned on any place I know about.

Hey you can set and talk about how U S O is this or that one the guides dont make enough money to rent a plane two it only takes one rotten apple to spoil the whole barrel, three these people are stealing wildlife from everyone to make a profit. Thats called poching, just like the guy that kills an animal out of season, there is no differance.

George Taulman is the heaad of U S Outfitters and is also indicted for flying the plane in the incident above, a real scumsucker.

According to Arizona Game and Fish, here are the laws regarding the use of aircraft to take wildlife:
A person shall not take or assist in taking wildlife from or with the aid of aircraft.
A personal shall not harass wildlife or assist in harassing wildlife from or with the aid of an aircraft.
A person shall not locate or assist in locating wildlife from or with the aid of an aircraft beginning 48 hours before and during all open big game seasons, except Commision-odered special seasons and seasons for mountain lion.
A person possessing a special big game license tag for a special season or a person assisting such licensee shall not use an aircraft to locate wildlife beginning 48 hours before and during a Commission-ordered special season.

Definitions:
&quot;Aircraft&quot; means any contrivance used for flight in the air or any lighter-than-air contrivance.
&quot;Harass&quot; means to disturb, molest, chase, rally, concentrate, harry, drive, herd, or torment.
&quot;Locate&quot; means any act or activity directed at locating or finding wildlife in a hunt area that does not take or harass wildlife.

Well AZ... from what you posted I'd say who ever called them &quot;SCUM SUCKERS&quot; hit the nail on the head. AND again, if they put something in waterholes they should really really pay big time so it hurts for years. I don't know if you have to have an outfitters license... but it should be yanked if they do. Maybe that's how they got their reputation for producing... bending/breaking the laws to get the edge. I to wonder why it took so darn long to get this into courts. If you or I did something wrong we'd be in court before we broke camp.

Davidmil, it probly took so long because the people who investagated probabily wanted to be sure that all the i's were dottited and the t's crossed so these people pay the piper! It kinda makes you wonder why all the responses that talk about good tis U S O is maybe weshould all check the game laws before we go anywhere to hunt with any outfitter, just so you know if they[the outfitter]is within the law!
