My wife spends little time actually hunting with me as of now. She does hunt and likes it but is waiting for the boys to get a little older. Often when I am out, she is home with the kids and if fine with that. Shes killed a whitetail buck so far. She goes with me scouting sometimes and helps me hang stands in the summer. As a family we all plan on hunting much more together in the future as our 3 and 5 year old get closer to that full time hunting age. We are planning to havebear camp this spring in the back country for the entire family and any friends that want to come up. Archery bear sites over bait or spot and stalk sites for rifle.

Mine doesn't hunt but shelikes deer meat.
Now hook the Ranger up to the truck and head to the lake and she is the first one in the truck. She loves the outdoors and camping / fishing. But she couldn't shoot an animal. She has talked about maybe doing some 3D.

My daughter on the other hand is a killing machine.

Feel sorry for you guys that have someone you either "don't want to hunt" or has ANY kind of problem with hunting... I love it!!!!!!! I love that my BF and I do it together and/or apart.. took my first one this past year ... He was a little worried because I took a day off .. Woods by myself ... Took her, gutted her and drug her out by myself.. Very proud of it. Can't wait until I can get one up on the wall bigger than his biggest.
That is awesome Javabird17!!! The fact that you even gutted her and drug her out yourself is just cool as heck. I let HCH do that part for me[&:]. I could probably gut them if I absolutly had to. But, dragging them out of the woods I really don't think that is something I could do. You rock!!!
Thanks Hoyt.. I only had to drag her about 50 yards.. It wasa bitch to get her onto the 4 wheeler but.. I was VERY proud of myself.. I'll tell you what, my fake nails helped A LOT with the gutting.. easy digging..

He was surprised as all hell. I am not a big girl at all..Took a lot out of me to get her home and in the tree.
LOL!(about the nails) That is just awesome!I bet it even makes the whole hunting experience even morerewarding because you can do itall by yourself. I bet your husband was surprised that you were able to do all that by yourself. I bet he was proud! I am sure that HCH would reallylike it if I would take up more responsiblities such as gutting and moving deer myself. What did you use to pull her? Did she weigh much?

No husband... But boyfriend is very very proud. Finally have a pic of me in the house.. Gutting on the spot made a BIG difference... I pulled it over to the 4 wheeler myself; was about 50 yards across a stream.. Made clean up easy, having the stream right there. Picked it up onto the front rack of the 4 wheeler, we figured it weighed about 65-70 lbs. Loaded it up in truck; checked it in and brought it back home to hang in the tree. IT WAS GREAT!! the looks I got at the check in station! Funny..... I was getting looks by enough; they all had the look of 'Okay, where is her man?'. Loved it!

I have been married now for about two and a half years and she had no hunting experience at all. City girl married country boy! Since then she will now walk with us on bird hunts she loves watching the dogs work, and she has gone turkey hunting with me. She missed her turkey this last season but this year I am sure she will get one. I just love sharing the experience with her. It was one of my dreams to be married to a woman that loves the out doors. We are expecting our first child Sep. 4th so being able to take my kid will be a blast too! (No pun intended)
