I thought there was a thread here awhile back from a trail cam, showing a nice buck sheddinghis
entire rack in a few hours or so ..... sound familiar to anyone?

Tony, your right, I saw those trail cam pics also. I saw a small buck losing his velvetthis year for the first time since I've been hunting. I was clipping some shooting lanesand he and a doe came feedingto about 15yrds of me! They must have thought I was another deer feeding because I was making a bit of noise.

I've seen two over the years.Shot the first one...

The second one was injured with the velvet just hanging. It was almost mid October when I saw him the first time. Probably got smucked by a vehicle right beforevelvet shedding. I passed on him since he was getting around good and feeding. Could have shot him a few more times too later on but he was doing fine. By mid November he was chasing does. Found one of his sheds the next spring after seeing him numerous times during the winter. He was in good shape.
