I like to use a glass call and mouth call. I killed a nice Tom last year with this combo. For any of you that are interested, NWTF is having a show the 23-25 of Feb. in Nashville TN. If you guys would like more info let me know.

My turkey bow is my Tribute. 60# and can be held at full draw all day waiting for the perfect shot that the ole tom gives me; especially handy when hunting without my Double Bull.GregH, the guns are too easy on a bird, do it with a bow.Besides, we need to protect our hearing as we get older, I am already half deaf from shotguns and rock concerts.[8D]

Check out some turkey videos. There is about 5 main sounds you have to learn to mimic a turkey. After you know them, just mix and match them at the right time. (purrs when feeding contently, cutting when getting the Tom riled up, etc)

My favorite call to make, especially when a tom is hung up on a fence row or a creek, is to purr and throw in a putt or two here and there.

I prefer to use diaphragm calls, as they free my hands up.
