I pee from my stand and don't have any issues seeing deer. I don't know that it attracts them. Heck I don't know if doe in estrous pee attracts them.

Well, if you play the wind right and pee from your stand, I guess you're peeing into the wind...Something I was taught at an early age NOT to do, lol. I carry a gatorade bottle too, but never had to use it. I lay off of the coffee before I hunt and take care of business before I get to my stand.

Here's my story.

Wow! I finally got a deer with my bow! I thought I was shooting at a 10 pointer but got this weird one instead. On X-Mas Morning! He caught me literally with my pants down. A weird series of events left me having to take a leak from my stand. At 7:45 AM, I had just finished taking a leak and had just retreated through 4 layers of cloths, and there he was. Twelve yards away on a trail behind me. I saw 5 on one side and a g-2 with a sticker, and said "grab your bow". The bow was behind me and when I turned to get it, the safety belt hung up. I ripped it around me, he heard it and stopped with his head behind a bush. I grabbed my bow and got it on the other side of the tree and he was still standing there. There was a large limb between us and I used it to draw behind. Once at full draw, I crouched slowly until I could see his vitals. Centered my pin and shot. Nice double lung, he went 46 yards and fell over. What a great hunt! I think it was my 75th hunt. I certainly put in the time. Started to get weary. But I knew that I couldn't get one from my livingroom.

Earlier this season, I had relieved myself from a different stand and an hour later a 10 pointer came under my tree (no shot) and rubbed his antlers on the limbs that I peed on![:-]

Sunday I had a doe come in under my stand and smell and lick[:'(]the bush I had whizzed on a couple times that day.
Didn't spook her at all.
She only spooked after my arrow missed her![:@]

I don't think it matters, but I don't do it. Don't want to do my business and then maybe forget about it later and lower my bow where I took a leak earlier.[:'(] I also think it makes a hell of a racket hitting the ground from 20 feet up.
Wide mouth for me too.

I used to believe the hype but don't anymore. I had peed before I got the buck in my avatar and also before I got my 8 pointer this year. Also, I've seennumerous deer after I've peed from the stand.

I might believe the idea that it attracts them.

Interesting to ear these stories ... I guess I have worried about this for to long, when a buck will rub his antlers on the branches you just wizzed on!

A doe <<yuck!>> licking urine coated branches .....[:'(]

I have read articles about peeing in scrapes .... it supposedly will liven up dead ones and create new ones!![&:]

I've heard you can pee in a buck's scrape and really pi$$ him off!

They don't much like it when you piss on them from your stand either.

When huting the other evening I had to pee real bad and couldn't wait. So I went off the stand the side I thought they wouldn't be going and maybe wouldn't smell from the way I thought they would come in, and of course 4 doe come in a few minutes later from downwind of me and my pee and walk right through it smelled around it and went on. Never seemed spooked at all.
