Yep. I've grunted to bucks before, and had them come looking for a fight.

yes i do think they work. i have called in a couple of deer with only bowhunting for 2 years

Sometimes and some places. I think it depends on the herd, hunting pressure, and how often calls are used around them. If a turkey can become call shy so can a deer.

they have worked every once in a while and they only bring them within about 50 yards usually

I can't tell you how many times a grunt call has made the difference for me! I won't gointo the woods without one!
