I saw it advertised on Buckmasters, evidently its guaranteed to be fresh doe in heat urine, said to be the best. cost like 50-60 bucks for 2 oz.

Unless you watched them pour it into the bottle you have no real guarantee of freshness since the term "fresh" isn't regulated . The only way an average hunter can aquire guaranteed fresh whizz is to take the bladder from a fresh kill and bottle it yourself , any other source would be suspect at best except for a nearby pee farm like RJH mentioned .

My Dad used it some this season but never really got much of a response from it. The only instance he clearly seen that the scent do anything was when a 120 class 4x4 walking aling a large CRP field came upon a scent wick laced with the VS-1 that he had placed just 15 yards from his stand. He told me that when that buck "hit" that scent that he actually leaped into the air and then took a few bounds where he stopped, stomped and snoorted several times before trotting down the ridge.

For the record, James Valley Scents have ALWAYS worked for us MUCH better that ANY commercial scent. The JVS Gels have been incredible and have been responsible for perfectly postioning several P&Y class animals for us. No gimmicks of fancy advertising here, just great scent that WORKS! Good luck and good huntin'
