I own one scent-Lok garment I bought on sale.....but these threads always make me laugh and ask....

WHY DOES WHAT SOMEONE ELSE WEARS BOTHER SOME PEOPLE?????

I can also tell you.....if Robinson Outdoors wanted tooutfit me every year.....I'd let 'em. Would you?

Did they have on their rubber boots .

Just kiddin. I am sure some of the guys that hunt could set ya up with a better scent control than the mythbusters. There are so many variables that people throw into the equation when considering scent elimination.
very very true

I think it was last week that American Archer had the entire show about scent control, and of course, it was all Scent-Lok people talking about it. It was no better than an informercial for Scent-Lok (which is what a lot of bowhunting shows are, unfortunately). It was basically a "if you don't wear Scent-Lok, you aren't a good hunter" type presentation. I won't watch that show anymore because that was the most blatant sell out I have ever seen.

One thing to keep in mind. "Blood hounds" are trained to pick up human scent. Deer are not. No "scent control" clothing will completely, 100% eliminate human scent. Any hole in the clothing, arms, legs, neck, waistline, etc will allow human scent to escape. Then you have to deal with the head area and breath.

My feeling is this, scent control clothing does a better job than no scent control clothing.

THANK YOU!!!MY FEELINGS EXACTLY TO THE TEE. I couldn't have said it better. I saw it too and was appalled at how someone or a show could prostitute themselves out.

I saw the same show and almost puked. They actually rated hunters as if their skill was directly proportional to the amount of scent-lok stuff they bought.

That was bad............I used to like that show a little.

I can't stand the Myth Busters Show. Those guys are full of it. Did you all see the show there they said it was impossiable to Robin Hood an arrow. They said it can't be done. Well I'm sure a number of us have the proof for them!
I believe what they looked into was whether a wooden arrow could be robin hooded from one end to the other completely like in the movies. Due to irregularities in the grain of wood they concluded this was not possible.

Thats insane. I was messin with my dogs once howling across the yard and didnt have it on and they found me every time. I would zig zag and what did the dogs do.... they zig zaged in the same way i did until they found me. Then i got an idea. I went in the house put on some scent elimination products and went out there and howled a couple times and they came into the yard sniffling all over the place and didnt find me!!!! My conclusion, They are the mythbusters they dont know what they are talking about and they need to get a life.
