i dont see why people need stands in the 20 ft range.. i have stands ranging from 8 ft to 16 ft and people kill deer out of ground blinds all the time.. to me i dont see any point in goin over about 16 ft. just an oppinion though.
It all depends on the terrain to me. I climb to about 30' in one of my trees because of a hill behind me. If I climbed 16' in this tree; I would be about eye level with a deer if it came down this hill. Just my opinion.

I recomend 12 to 15 feet up, thatw well out of the way of scent and site.

20 isa good number but it really depends on terrain. You may want to be higher in thickets, and on the side of ridges.

I like the 20-25' mark but your background has alot to do with it. I find that big pine trees are easy to hide in and you can get away with lower heights. ladder stands i like to brush in.

my stands are all set at 24-26 feet up the tree and have never had an issue with sent or being to high to be dangerous...
