I am having no luck either this year. I guess thats the way it goes.

Nothing. I'm just mad because all I have seen are does and small bucks. The biggest buck I saw was a 3 pointer. He only had one side of his rack. I will keep at it and maybe I'll be in the right place at the right time.

Two tags, Zero filled. Optimistic, yes! I have had some opportunities, but I have passed a couple of time on small does/fawns. I had a new stand that I put up and was checking out shooting lanes while my bow was in the truck and the doe was standing broadside for 15 minutes! I have had small bucks in range, but I blew the chance in one way or another. I am still learning what a bowhunter needs to do to be successful in my second season.

Whew! (big sigh of relief) I'm glad I'm not the only one!

Went out again today for about 2 hrs. Man it was BEAUTIFUL!! 3 fresh inches of snow, I don't have to wear orange(gun season ended the 30th), and tracks all over. Of course I fell asleep! BE DAMNED comfy treestand!LOL!

Pulling out just before legal light I see a 5 and an 8 touseling over about 4 does. Both frothy and chasin' the ladies. I sit and glass them from the truck for a few and after a few minutes they head into the woods 15 yards from my stand! Sweet Jesus can I get a break!!LOL! Oh well, I'll be there again on Saturday!

I've had some great experiences this year though and even if I don't see another deer till next year I wouldn't do a thing differently. I feel sorry for those poor schmucks (Yeah YOU Rack Attack<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>) that fill their tags early and can't hunt anymore!

No deer here yet for me with the bow either. But i got me a nice 8 with the gun. Well i still got the late season now which goes till jan 1 my chances are better i think, bucks go back on the feed like crazy and winter is setting in here hard in the Upper Peninsula of Mi. Cant wait to get out this weekend!

Been bow hunting at least three days a week since Oct 1st. Passed on many deer early in the season. Wished I would have taken one now. Getting alful cold here in Iowa.

I passed up 15-20 different little bucks and finally got a shot at daddy rabbit on Saturday afternoon and screwed the pooch. Looked for the last 3 days and no luck...depression sets in. He would score 160PY minimum. <img src=icon_smile_sad.gif border=0 align=middle>

Nothing yet. I still have 3-5 days that i'll get out. Season closes 12/31/02. I did hit (low) a nice 8-10 point one morning 4 weeks ago, I saw him alive and well 2 weeks ago. I have passed on some smaller bucks and does. Snow is now on the ground and will be with us for the remainder of the year-Tuff hunting, but I need to try. Good Luck!
