Default WB is chewwin up my feathers

I just got my new bow Dec 23rd, details below my post, and it seems the edges of my feathers are getting chewwed up a little. it doesnt seem to be affecting flight cuz i just had about a 1 1/2" group at 15 yards, (i know, kinda close, but still im happy) but it is defenitely noticable. The guy at the shop who set me up just grabbed these arrows off the shelf and set em up for me, didnt really ask what i prefered as far as vanes go. Im thinking of having plastic vanes or some blazers put on. what do you think? ive only shot these arrows about 50-75 times, and the edges are frayed. should i expect to have them fixed for free, or should i just forget about bringing them back to where i bought em (about a half hour away) or just bring em to Gander (about 10 min away)? has anyone else had problems with feathers and the Whisker Biscuit? thanks alot guys. im gonna head out and shoot some more in a little bit. thats about the only plus side i can think of to having 40 degrees here in NE WI this time of year, its nice for some outdoor practice, and will be for the rest of the week.

Schobs:
I've never shot feathers, I do however shoot 2" blazers thru my WB without any problem. I think I'd continue to shoot the feathers till they quit grouping for you (don't know 'bout bow season where you are but here the season is basically over) since the off season is here. When they fail to group get you a fletching jig (offset or helical), some wraps and some blazers and refletch (if ya can't get them refletched for free at the shop you bought 'em at). Thats what I'm doing as my regualr vanes get destroyed. It's alot of fun and it gives me something to do. Just my $.02.

Schobs, you'll get waveyness even with vanes. They say Blazers don't get affectedthough.

Go with blazers...can't go wrong. I had a WB and it constantly destroyed my vanes. I switched to a drop away and haven't had problems with vanes since.

ok ive shot feathers, vanes, and blazers through my wb. feathers still shoot good even when the edges begin wearing off. vanes tend to start grouping worse when the get ruffled up from the wb. my blazers are still straight as a razor showing no wear. check the sig and youll see what i stuck with. id shoot the feathers for a while and when its time to refletch, go to blazers.

You may want to check out this rest....The NAP 360 Capture. Same principle as the WB but you feathers won't pass through any bristles.

With the WB I think blazers are the way to go. One benefit of feathers is they can still stabilizer the arrow even if they are a little messed up.

I shoot vanes and used to get deformed ones constantly. I don't anymore for some reason. It must be the different vanes or something. Try Blazers and a couple others until you find the right one. My accuracy didn't suffer until the vanes started tearing by the way.
